Loss of control in flight remains one of the most serious threats in aviation. Our two-day Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) course is designed to give pilots the knowledge, experience, and practical skills to recognize, prevent, and recover from aircraft upsets.  Training combines ground instruction with hands-on flight experience in the GB1 GameBird, allowing you to safely explore situations well beyond those encountered during normal flight training. You’ll develop a better understanding of aircraft behavior, spatial disorientation, stalls and spins, unusual attitudes, and upset recovery using both visual references and instruments.  Whether you’re a student pilot, experienced general aviation pilot, or professional flight crew member, the goal is the same: build the awareness, confidence, and skills to respond appropriately when the airplane isn’t doing what you expected.

REAL WORLD UPSET TRAINING IN THE GB1 GAMEBIRD

Your UPRT course is taught by our Training Director and Owner Jon Lambeth, and includes ground instruction and flights in our Game Aerospace GB1 GameBird. The GameBird’s exceptional performance and maneuverability allows us to safely demonstrate and explore aircraft behavior well beyond the limits of normal flight training. Rather than simply teaching a set of recovery maneuvers, we focus on helping you understand what the airplane is doing, recognize an upset as it develops, and make the appropriate control inputs to recover. The GB1 allows us to create realistic training scenarios and demonstrate principles that apply across a wide range of aircraft, from light piston airplanes to high-performance business aircraft.

This course is available for $4,000 for one person, or $7,000 for two people.  This includes the aforementioned ground and flights, airport transfers from ATL, crew car for two people, and accommodations. Cost is split between a $500/person non-refundable but transferable deposit and a final payment due upon arrival for training. Once the deposit is paid, your spot is confirmed.
